Webinar on the General Scheme of the Protected Disclosures (Amendment) Bill

Transparency International (TI) Ireland held a webinar on the General Scheme of the Protected Disclosures (Amendment) Bill on 27 May 2021. The discussion examined the key provisions of the Bill and some of the key issues that will need to be addressed to ensure an effective transposition of the EU Whistleblowing Directive in Ireland. Speakers included John Devitt, Chief Executive, Transparency International Ireland; Dr Lauren Kierans, Assistant Professor of Law, Maynooth University; Ida Nowers, Law and Policy Coordinator, Whistleblowing International Network and Lorraine Heffernan, Managing Solicitor, Transparency Legal Advice Centre.

Launch of the Speak Up Report 2020

TI Ireland published its third Speak Up report based on data collected from over 566 callers to its Speak Up Helpline from 2017 to the beginning of 2020. TI Ireland marked the launch of the Speak Up report, International Anti-Corruption Day, and the publication of the Hamilton Report on economic crime and corruption with a webinar and panel discussion on 9 December 2020.

Integrity at Work Week 2020

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the 2020 Integrity at Work Conference was transformed into a week- long series of online events entitled Integrity at Work Week which took place from 23 – 27 November 2020.
